Important notice: There has been an error in the information provided in our brochure: Building & Construction Industry Accident & Illness Benefits Program updated in September 2015.

A paragraph in the section B. Leisure Time Injury – Weekly Benefits on p.7 and B. Leisure Time Illness – Weekly Benefits on p.23 was deleted in error and reads

“We will pay weekly benefits whilst a worker continues to suffer disablement up to a maximum of 156 weeks or such lesser period whilst a worker is unable to return to their occupation as a result of the illness (where a worker is over 65 years old at the time of illness, the benefits period is limited to 104 weeks).”

The amended version of the  Building & Construction Industry Accident & Illness Benefits Program  with this sentence included can be obtained here

The Accident & Illness benefits are available to workers if an employer member has made contributions/levy payments on the worker's behalf.

Incolink provides automatic Personal Accident Leisure Time Insurance, Funeral Cover and Discretionary Cover (emergency transport & dental, accident only), for on-site workers when an employer continues to pay redundancy contributions on a worker’s behalf.

Workers, who receive Income Protection and Trauma (IPT) contribution payments to Incolink, will be eligible for Incolink’s IPT benefits program.  This includes Leisure Time Illness, TAC Top-Up, Workers’ Compensation Top-Up and Workplace Death & Capital Benefits.

Apprentices have free access to Personal Accident Leisure Time Insurance, Funeral Cover, and Discretionary Cover (emergency transport & dental, accident only), if days are recorded and current at the time of the event.  Access to IPT and PSL benefits are also available if an employer member contributes to Incolink’s IPT and PSL program.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Cover can be tailored to meet an EBA and workers’ requirements.
  • Cover is only available for those workers where the employer continues to pay the contributions/levy and is current at the time of the event.  Gaps in payments will mean no cover.  Where back payments have been made and a claim is submitted, the claim will not be considered.
