The Portable Sick Leave Scheme, administered by Incolink, allows workers to access sick leave built up with previous employers. In other words, employees can take their sick leave from one employer to another. This was previously lost when they left employment or were made redundant. Employers contribute to the cost of the insurance policy that provides this benefit.
Casual employees are not covered under the program.
