Incolink has partnered with WorkSafe to offer FREE WorkHealth checks to workers in the building and construction industry. With the important support of employer associations and industry unions, Incolink has been delivering the WorkHealth checks at commercial construction sites across Victoria since the beginning of 2010, with over 12,000 workers receiving immediate feedback regarding their health on worksites. The WorkHealth checks are available to all workers who choose to take up the offer.
WorkHealth Checks On-Site
The WorkHealth Check program iswill be available at building sites and other locations throughout Victoria for workers who choose to take up the offer. During these health checks workers complete a brief confidential health questionnaire, have their waist circumference, cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar measured, and receive immediate information and advice from a qualified health professional based on their results.
The FREE 15 minute WorkHealth checks are quick, convenient and completely confidential. WorkHealth checks are a free and easy way for workers to find out about the state of their health and risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
What is involved...?
During a 15 minute WorkHealth check, workers:
- complete a brief, confidential health questionnaire;
- have their waist circumference, cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar measured; and,
- receive immediate information and advice from a qualified health professional together with a private record of their results.
