Incolink Careers in Construction Is produced by Incolink every two years. It provides information regarding career opportunities and related training in the building industry. The guide, which is updated every two years, covers all areas of the industry, with sections on young workers and apprentices, mature-aged workers, people with qualifications gained overseas and people seeking a new career path within the industry. It carries a comprehensive listing of relevant industry, union, professional, training and educational organisations and their contact details.

Incolink SAFE Handbook Is a cooperative project between building industry employers and trade unions to achieve improvements in OH&S. Incolink has played an important part in this initiative. It is a comprehensive reference for employers and employees working on construction sites, providing a common set of basic safety requirements applicable to sites regardless of size.

Incolink Women in Construction Incolink provided the funding and produced the booklet ‘Women in Industry’, which examines the role of women in the building industry and ways to provide equal opportunities and overcome discrimination against them. It contains many valuable contact details and inspirational case studies for women considering a career in the industry.

Apprentice Hand Book Is produced by Incolink to support apprentices in the building and construction industry. The range of projects and activities Incolink provides for members and the industry in general are constantly being expanded and now includes:

Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme Fergus Robinson undertook A Study of Occupational Health and Safety Practice in the Construction of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme as a Worksafe Australia (NOHSC) funded project. It was published as a book in the year 2000. The Study examines the coroners’ inquisition reports for the 121 workers who were killed; analyses the cause of the fatalities and serious injuries; and reviews how occupational health and safety was managed throughout the live of the Project. The book also   makes a comparison with the Victorian Kiewa hydro electric scheme. The author draws upon lessons that are still relevant to the construction industry today.
With the book out of print, placing the work on the Incolink website enables the general public to have access to an important part of our history.
Occupational Health and Safety initiatives Incolink funds a variety of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) projects. Those conducted so far range from Safe Work on Roofs and Noise Awareness programs to the training of site OH&S representatives and supervisors and the development of long-term initiatives to tackle drug and alcohol problems and to formulate new approaches to rehabilitation.

Incolink also funded an OH&S Management System that included production of an audit capability manual, which provided detailed, procedure-based, quality management information and principles for contractors and sub-contractors.

A range of brochures and booklets has been published by Incolink on this important aspect of working in the building and construction industry.

'You Bet' problem gambling preventative education kit Incolink produced an information kit and preventative education program on the issues associated with problem gambling. Titled 'You Bet', the kit is designed to assist apprentices and young people in the industry understand the issues and signs of problem gambling in their own lives and in the lives of work colleagues, friends and family. It involves written materials and a DVD, to illustrate how to identify a problem and where to go for help.
