With the help of nutritionists, Incolink has compiled an industry friendly booklet with delicious (and healthy!) meal tips to help you prepare your lunch for work, rather than buying take-away food.

Some of the recipes were recently tested and filmed in Incolink’s kitchen with young construction industry workers. The recipes passed the test on taste and easy preparation. They also passed the budget test, and are considerably cheaper than purchasing take-away food at work. The Incolink team found that you can save (on average) $1,500 a year by packing your lunch every day.

All it takes is a bit of planning, and with the quick help of recipes in the Healthy Meal Tips booklet, it is now easier than ever. The Booklet features some breakfast ideas and suggestions for packing a healthy cooler bag. It also shows how to make quick lunches, such as an easy pasta salad, meaty muffins and onepot risotto. These three recipes are also featured in the Incolink YouTube video, which includes some additional tips on what to eat to give your body the energy it needs:

This guide has emerged from Incolink’s Member Services Department who have worked on a VicHealth-funded project looking into nutrition. It is a compilation of a number of easy and nutritious recopies’ specially designed for workers.
