Incolink's Apprentice Support Workers offer a free confidential support and referral service to apprentices and young workers to ensure they are equipped to deal with workplace, trade school and personal pressures and difficulties. This includes information on issues like drug and alcohol abuse and suicide prevention. Employers can also use the service where apprentices or young workers are giving them cause for concern.
The Incolink Apprentice Support Team was recently recognised by receiving an honourable mention at the Premier’s Victorian Public HealthCare Awards in 2010. The team was recognised by the Minister as outstanding in the area of ‘team achievement in mental health care’ for their work building positive life skills and reducing risk factors related to suicide amongst young men.

Incolink Life Care Suicide Prevention Program
This program aims to prevent suicide amongst young people in the building and construction industry. The program raises awareness of suicide and its risk factors and promotes positive life skills to support apprentices with the daily challenges of work and life.
The Life Care program was recently recognised by the State Government as making an outstanding contribution in the areas of health prevention and promotion at the 2009 Victorian Premier's Public Healthcare Awards where it won a Silver Award.

Out-of-trade Apprentices
Incolink helps out-of-trade apprentices find employment by registering their availability on an Apprentice Register. Referrals are then made to interested employers as work opportunities arise; enabling them to gain the experience they need to complete their apprenticeships
